Our Commitment to You

Within the 6 month period from your sewing machine purchase, we are obliged to assess, diagnose and repair faults at no extra cost to you.

The machine must be free from defective parts, defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal, domestic conditions.

Janome includes a warranty with all new machines to protect against manufacturing faults or defects. It is essential that the machine is used and maintained according to the provided manual.

  • Retain all original packaging – only machines returned in original packaging will be accepted under warranty.
  • Keep your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase.

The warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original customer, from new.

How Long Does the Warranty Last?

Janome offers a 2-year standard parts and labour warranty with all new machines covering both parts and labour.

  • HD9 model: 12-month warranty only.
  • Warranty applies only to machines in normal domestic use; educational or commercial use carries a 12-month warranty.
How Do I Register My Machine Warranty?

You can register your machine on Janome’s website: Janome.co.uk

Alternatively, use the warranty registration card included with every machine. Fill it in and send it off.

Can I Extend My Warranty?

Yes! You can extend the standard 2-year warranty to a maximum of 5 years by purchasing an extended warranty from Janome within 30 days of purchase.

Details of the extended warranty can be found in the machine box or on Janome’s website.

What is Included in the Warranty?

The warranty only covers genuine manufacturing faults. It excludes:

  • Accidental damage and wear & tear
  • Consumables such as belts, bulbs, needle threaders, needles, bobbin cases, bobbins, needle plates, blades, light bulbs, tools, presser feet, embroidery frames
How is Warranty Work Carried Out?

If you believe your machine may be faulty, contact us at Truro Fabrics first. We may be able to assist and solve the issue quickly, saving time and costs.

If we cannot resolve the problem, we will contact Janome to find a relevant solution.

  • Machines returned must be in original packaging.
  • Return courier delivery is arranged by the customer; Truro Fabrics Ltd is not liable for return costs.
  • We strongly advise courier insurance; Truro Fabrics Ltd cannot be held liable for machines damaged in transit.
