With statement puffy sleeves, the Raven dress from McCall's is your perfect summer dress. An empire seam dress with a shallow bodice and three different designs included; choose from the off-shoulder puff sleeves, the on-trend square neckline, or a ruched bodice with straps. The gathered skirt can be made whichever length suits, with the option to add a ruffle at the hem. If the puffy sleeves aren't your vibe, you can just omit the cuff at the bottom to hack a pair of beautiful floaty butterfly sleeves!

This pattern is great for confident beginner to intermediate level makers looking to level-up their skills; you'll tackle inserting a concealed (invisible) zip, fitting a bodice, inserting puff sleeves and gathering fabric. 

This pattern is available in sizes 6-14 or 14-24. Remember to always check your body measurements with the pattern to ensure the correct size.

Fabric suggestions: This pattern works best in fabrics with a bit of body to them; look for cotton poplins, gingham, broderie Anglais, brocades and jacquard weaves.

You will also need: Thread. One 14″ (36 cm) invisible zipper. View A: 1¹/₂ yds. (1.4 m) of ¹/₄” (0.6 cm) elastic. One pkg. of ¹/₂” (1.3 cm) single fold bias tape.
