Sew a Christmas Stocking

Christmas is coming and it’s nearly time to hang those stockings! In this class, you will sew your very own lined stocking to take home with you. Use a pre-printed panel or choose your own fabrics and decorate with fun festive trims. See full details below.

This workshop is perfect for those with some foundation knowledge of machine sewing.

Please note that a sewing machine that has been sat unused for sometime will likely need a service to be able to run to its full potential

Skill Level: Confident beginners and up

Course Duration:

Saturday 18th November, 9:30am-12:30pm

You will learn:

How to cut from a pattern

How to line your stocking

To add a hanging loop

To add trimmings to your stocking

You will need to bring:

Tools:

A sewing machine in good working order

A general sewing kit including: pins, scissors, tailors chalk, seam ripper

Materials:

Either:

A Stocking Panel kit available at Truro Fabrics

Or

A stocking panel OR 60cm outer fabric of your choice

60cm lining fabric

Optional 60cm wadding such as Thermolam

Matching machine thread

At least 1.5 metres of trimmings such as pompoms, ric rac, ribbon etc
