How to Fit Your Bag Feet:
1. If your bag base includes stabiliser, install the bag feet after it’s in place—this way, the prongs will go through both the fabric and the stabiliser.
2. Decide where you want each foot to sit, then mark the spots.
3. Pop a washer over each mark and trace the slit openings.
4. Carefully cut those slits using a sharp craft knife or a seam ripper—go slow and steady so you don’t cut beyond the lines.
5. Insert the prongs of each bag foot through the slits.
6. No stabiliser in your base? No problem—just place a small piece of stabiliser behind each foot for added strength.
7. Slip the washer over the prongs.
8. Bend the prongs outward, away from the centre, so they sit flush.
Optional: Cover the prongs with a bit of duct tape or an extra scrap of stabiliser to prevent any rubbing on your bag lining.
