• 100% boiled wool jersey in soft harebell blue
• Dense, cosy knit with a gentle stretch and textured feel
• Doesn’t fray - perfect for raw-edged or unlined makes
• Warm and substantial without feeling heavy
Our Boiled Pure Wool Jersey in Harebell is one of those fabrics that feels just as beautiful as it looks. In a soft, chalky blue that sits somewhere between cornflower and periwinkle, it has an easy warmth and a quiet elegance that’s perfect for handmade coats, jackets and layered pieces.
This is a dense, heavyweight knit (around 480 gsm), but it still feels soft and pliable in the hand. The surface has a lovely fine bouclé texture - a subtle, nubbly finish that adds interest and depth. Being a knitted and boiled fabric, it also has a small amount of stretch, which makes it wonderfully comfortable to wear and forgiving to sew.
One of the best things about boiled wool is that it doesn’t fray, so you can leave edges raw for a clean, modern finish - ideal for unlined jackets, open cardigans or simple wrap coats. The fabric also presses and shapes beautifully, holding its form without stiffness.
