Duchesse satin is a heavier weight, woven satin fabric with a soft lustre and firm, structured drape. Duchesse satin has a higher thread count than other satins, giving it it's distinctive thickness and tighter weave.
Commonly used for bridal gowns, Duchesse satin is perfect for creating a voluminous, sculptural clothing; think dramatic skirts or neat, boxy jackets.
With the smoothest, soft texture, this satin is made from 100% recycled polyester.
